Markets have a funny way of teaching the toughest lessons to its participants. Whether you are trading or investing you are your own worst enemy. Traders and investors have the same flaws, they allow the news and their emotions to play in their decision making.
Trading and investing are similar but different. I.E. I trade and invest in Gold, Platinum and Silver, but they are treated differently. When they are traded you use a method and a plan to enter and exit with strict rules on both. When you invest, you also have a set of rules but not as stringent.
As of today, my trading is short Gold and Silver, long Platinum. In my investing I own all three with no intention of selling. My investment plan is to accumulate all, but at different times. In my opinion, the best buy as an investment is Platinum which is a sale at these prices.
Just remember, don’t confuse or mix strategies it will always lead to disaster. Understand your plan exactly before you do either. There is no free money, there is no one who has special powers to predict. Price predicts price, it’s that simple.
